Snow Guns have started their work!

    Production of snow and preparation of ski courses to the 18th USIC World Championship (men) have been started. Since first frost has come to our Rybinsk land, snow guns started their work. There’s hardly any snow in the forest and on the courses, but there are heaps of snow on the stadium and on the famous uphill “Switch”.

    Chief of sport installations of Ski Sport Centre “Demino” Andrei Naumov says, “We managed to start up the snow guns just on Saturday, December 5. Night temperature was tolerable for snow generators, but water in the river was +4°C, while recommended temperature is +1°, +2°C. So, we were waiting for natural lowering of temperature. Now three snow guns «Tekhno Alpin M-18» are producing snow with average efficiency 20 m³ per hour. We hope to cover the FIS certified course for sprint in 5 days. General Director of “Demino” gave us a task to make a 2.5 km lap by December 16”.
    The FIS World Cup Cross-Country “Rybinsk/Demino-2010” in January is not far off!
