“Demino” ski stadium started its functioning from 1975. In 1979 Cup of USSR with the strongest athletes such as Sergey Saveliev, Evgeny Beliaev, Raisa Smetanina. In 2001 we organized here Cup of Russia Cross-country, training session of picked team of Russia before the World Championship, Cup of Russia archery-biathlon (cross country race with archery); in march 2002 junior Championship of Russia. In January 2003 under the patronage of the governor of Yaroslavl region Anatoly Lisitsyn Championship of Russia Cross-country was held in “Demino”. One of its participants was Olympic Champion and a bronze medal holder of Solt-Lake City Michail Ivanov, bronze medal holder of World Championship Vitaly Denisov, multi-champion of Russia Vladimir Legotin, six-fold Olympic Champion Nina Gavriliyk.
In 2003 Goskomsport of Russia assigned “Demino” a status of the Center of Regional Sports Training.
In 2004 in “Demino” were organized such events as: International competitions FIS “Continental Cup”, Championship of Russia Cross-country with its famous participants Julia Chepalova, Svetlana Negeikina, Olga Zavialova, Michail Ivanov and other.
On the territory of the Center is functioning unique in Yaroslalv region ski and roller track of 3,75 km long, and also certificated ski tracks of 5 and 10 km. Best ski athletes and Olympic and World champions such as Julia Chepalova, Nikolai Bolshakov, Svetlana Negeikina, Vasily Rochev, Evgeny Dementiev, Evgeniya  Medvedeva are our permanent guests, they have chosen our Center for their all-year training.
Demino was chosen as a place for the FIS World Cup in winter season 2006-2007. For the last time the competitions of the same status were organized in Russia in Kavgolovo in 2003, after which our country was disqualified.

Due to the results of the calendar conference FIS, Russia one more time got a right for holding FIS World Cup  in 2006-2007 in the Center of sports and leisure “Demino”.
20-21st January 2007 competitions of duathlon and team sprint will take place in Rybinsk.
